Quavo celebrated his 29th birthday yesterday (April 2) by giving back. According to a statement, Quavo and his Quavo Cares Foundation has partnered with the Ohana One Foundation and Emory Healthcare to donate masks and other protective personal equipment to hospitals in Los Angeles and Atlanta.

“The Quavo Cares Foundation is working with the Ohana One Foundation and Emory Healthcare to ensure health care professionals at area Los Angeles and Atlanta hospitals have the protective personal equipment (PPE) they need to keep them safe during this pandemic (including masks, isolation gowns, face shields),” the rapper wrote in the release.

According to their Instagram, the Ohana One Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides medical care and education, while Emory Healthcare is the largest healthcare network in Georgia.

“I am asking all of my friends and fans to donate $10 or more to help keep healthcare workers safe,” Quavo continued. “Each $10 donation will supply four (4) brand new N95 masks for doctors, nurses and hospital staff. 100% of funds raised will go directly to buying PPE supplies and your donation is tax deductible.”

Despite not being able to throw his usual “Huncho Day” charity flag football event, the rapper still found a way to spend his birthday supporting a cause.

“For my birthday, my foundation Quavo Cares is donating and raising money for very needed masks, gowns and face-shields for frontline healthcare professionals in Los Angeles and Atlanta,” he continued on Instagram. “Huncho Day Was About Giving Back On My Birthday Unfortunately Weren’t Able Too! So Instead I Ask My Family Friends Supporters To Please Donate To Quavo Cares Foundation!!!!”

Along with the Quavo Cares fund, the Migos rapper also got a star-studded video for his birthday, with compiled clips from celebrities like Diddy, DJ Khaled and more, all sending him their best wishes and singing “Happy Birthday.”

“Huncho Birthday Wishes!” Quavo captioned the clip. “Thanks To All These Beautiful Ppl. Thank YOU This One Touched Me!!! FAMILY.”
