Also on the ‘Gram, Uncle Snoop shared a photo of a gold chain with the Brooklyn native’s head. “Biggie,” he captioned the post.

On Twitter, fans shared their favorite verses and songs from Biggie in honor of his birthday.

“Happy Birthday BIGGIE!!!! Rest easy gentle giant, you are still greatly missed and loved,” one Twitter user wrote.

“Happy birthday Biggie, one of the greatest emcee of all time,” another wrote. “You would’ve turned 48 today man, sad that your legacy got cut short. Your work will live on in hip hop.”

This year, Biggie is set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Diddy previously celebrated the feat on Instagram.

“Whew! Ayo I wanna share this special moment, special announcement with y’all. Biggie, you did it!” he said. “The Notorious B.I.G. is going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll muthafu*king Hall of Fame. What the fu*k! We miss you king. New York stand up! Brooklyn!”

Unfortunately, the ceremony has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The event was initially scheduled for May 2 at the Public Hall in Cleveland, OH. When the induction ceremony does take place, Biggie will join the likes of fellow hip hop greats, like Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, N.W.A. and Tupac Shakur.
