Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj have landed at the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for their “Say So (Remix),” making it the first No. 1 for each artist. It’s also the first time in history that a collaboration between two females has made it to the top spot.

“Say So (Remix)” has become Nicki Minaj’s 18th Top 10 single, extending her record as the female rapper with the most Top 10s.

Fans have been sitting on the edge of their seats waiting for the final numbers to drop today (May 11). Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage (Remix)” gave Doja and Nicki a run for their money, but ended up coming in at the No. 2 spot. Last week, both songs made history as the first time that two solo songs by female rappers have both ranked within the Top 10 at the same time.

Besides Doja and Nicki, only six other female rappers have reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Lauryn Hill, Lil Kim, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, Lizzo and Shawnna have also had singles make it to No. 1.

The Hot Pink rapper recently spoke to Nick Cannon about how she “manifested” her collaboration with Nicki.

“It was a conversation for a long time,” she said. “And I was like, ‘This is who I want, this is who I want. Please God, please, please, please.’ And it just happened.”

The idea originally started as a joke with

her fans on Instagram Live, but the collaboration actually happened.

“I was ending every sentence with ‘featuring Nicki Minaj,’” she continued. “So, I was saying, ‘Damn you look good featuring Nicki Minaj’ [or] ‘My ass itch featuring Nicki Minaj,’” she said.

“But, that was so long ago but then, it happened and I feel like I manifested it or something,” she added. “It wasn’t discussed before so it was a surprise for me too, but she killed it as per usual.”

Congratulations to Doja and Nicki on their huge accomplishment.
