Fabolous wants the matchups of the Instagram Live battles to be more even.

A few days ago, 2 Chainz posted a video on social media challenging rappers like Meek Mill and Fabolous to an Instagram Live battle. Meek gracefully bowed out of the challenge and Fab recently talked to “The Breakfast Club” about why he also declined to battle 2 Chainz.

“I didn’t see my name come up that much,” he said. “I saw my name come up with 2 Chainz — I didn’t like the 2 Chainz shit ‘cause I felt like he was kind of picking his battles. Like, you can’t pick your fights.”

The “Cold Summer” rapper says he believes that artists like Jeezy or Future would be a better matchup for 2 Chainz.

“They’re of your genre and kind of era,” he said. “I just don’t like the pick-your-fights thing. It’s like you pick who you think — you might’ve even looked at your catalog and measured it up with theirs.”

“I don’t even think that’s my battle,” the Summertime Shootout 3 rapper continued. “One thing with the battles, I think it needs to be an even playing field of the two people battling. You can’t just throw JAY-Z versus Bow Wow. I think [2 Chainz] music is in a different direction than my music.”

Although we won’t get to see Fab and 2 Chainz go head-to-head, there is no bad blood between the two.

“Chainz is my guy. We hang out, we talk … Maybe he’s in the house too much. He gettin’ bored,” Fab joked. “To be honest, I don’t have trap caliber records. It’s not me tooting my own horn. I love Chainz. I love what he does. I think he can rap.”
