Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz are set to drop ColleGrove 2 this year.

2 Chainz revealed the news during an Instagram Live session last night (Mar. 26). He told his fans, “I’m also dropping ColleGrove 2 this year.”

Their first joint album came out in 2016 and both rappers teased that a second album would follow. 2 Chainz said that the pair had “plenty” more music in April 2016. Lil Wayne claimed that the album was “already done.” Two years later, 2 Chainz hinted at ColleGrove 2 online by posting, “Me and my brother gotta another 1 on the way.”

ColleGrove debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 following its release in 2016. The album was originally a collaborative project, but 2 Chainz was listed as the main artist due to Wayne’s label issues.

2 Chainz most recently dropped his single “NO TV” as well as No Face No Case, a compilation with his T.R.U. label’s roster.

Wayne recently dropped his fifth studio album Funeral, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and featured a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant. The 24-song LP featured appearances from Lil Baby, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, XXXTentacion, Takeoff, The Dream and more.

Wayne has much more music in the stash. The “Uproar” rapper recently revealed that he recorded over 50 songs in one night.

During an interview on MTV’s “Fresh Out,” Wayne told the show’s host Jamila Mustafa that he recorded 53 songs in one night.

“When you leave the session and you ask ‘Can I get what got from what I did tonight?’ and it comes back as files of what you done from that night, my last files was 53,” Wayne said of his efficiency. “So I did 53 songs that night.”
