In the wake of Pop Smoke’s death, 2 Chainz took the time to reflect on his own life.

The Atlanta rapper took to Instagram to speak about the dangers of being in the rap game. He shared an image that read, “Success is Dangerous You sure you want this Sh*t.” In the caption of the post, 2 Chainz reflected on how many times he’s been in danger since he rose to fame as a rapper.

“Been shot at in San Fran, got arrested in Maryland, La, New York and Oklahoma, had a so call stand off with police in Oklahoma,” he wrote. “Cali spot got broken into 4 times all on tape and one of them even left they phone ALL SINCE I BEEN A “RAPPER” you literally gotta Pray that you make it back home safe !! But then you not even safe at home.. my condolences.”

His message comes just hours after news surfaced that rapper Pop Smoke was murdered in his Hollywood Hills home. The investigation of his murder is still ongoing, but authorities believe that he was targeted after reviewing video surveillance.

Reportedly, four suspects approached Pop’s home on Wednesday (Feb. 19). They walked around the back of the house. Three of those men returned to the front door of the house. The fourth suspect does not appear on the video again until he exits from the front door. That suspect is believed to be the one who broke into the home and shot and killed Pop.

Multiple shots were fired inside of the home, but only Pop was hit. The suspects fled on foot without any items in their hand. Police now believe that this wasn’t a robbery. So far, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been named.
