It’s been nearly two years since the world lost Nipsey Hussle, but the pain for some hasn’t seemed to subside. Recently, Lauren London got a handwritten note from the rapper tattooed on her arm as a reminder of the love they once shared.

On Tuesday (Nov. 24), a tattoo artist named Stevie Wiebe posted a photo of London’s new ink, which displayed Nipsey’s message in the sweet yet brief letter. “2 Lauren, you my heart. Love you more!– Ermias,” the letter reads.

The actress’ recent tribute sits right above a tattoo of the letters TMC, an abbreviation for Hussle’s coined phrase, “The marathon continues.” It also complements the portrait of Nipsey she got tattooed on her arm after his tragic killing.

“Real Love Never Dies,” she captioned the post revealing her first Nipsey tat. “When you see me, you will always see him #LoveYouHussle #TMC.” The words “God will rise” — which was tattooed next to Nipsey’s right eye — are also seen underneath the portrait of the beloved rapper.

Hussle was fatally shot outside of his Marathon Clothing Store on March 31, 2019. His tragic death occurred at the peak of his career and has sadly been succeeded by the deaths of Pop Smoke, Mo3 and King Von, rappers who were also shot and killed during their prime.

Much like London, Asian Doll — Von’s girlfriend — honored her late lover with some new ink. She tattooed a portrait of the Welcome to O’Block rapper wearing a Burberry hat on the back of her left hand. “You Kno How It Go We Dont Even Play Like Dat Dayvon,” she captioned a post of her SNEAKYGEE-designed ink. “This The HARDEST Tattoo On My Body.”

Von was tragically gunned down outside of an Atlanta nightclub on Nov. 7. Suspect Timothy Leeks has since been charged his murder.
