Monday (Oct. 26) brought some exciting news for Kid Cudi fans. The Cleveland native hopped on Twitter to announce the third installation of his Man on the Moon album series, which he says is coming “soon.”

Cudi announced the upcoming project with an eerie new trailer that offers a montage glimpse into his career and ends with him gazing at a bright red moon. Around the 1-minute-30 mark, the screen fades to black and a caption reads: “The trilogy continues… soon.”

Fans were understandably excited by the news and Cudi spent some time on Twitter responding to his many mentions.

“My childhood is about to be complete, thank you cud,” one person tweeted.

“U have no idea,” the rapper replied.

Another fan wrote, “DAWWGGG I JUST ALMOST THREW MY FU*KING LAPTOP OFF THE DESK WHAT THE FUC*KKKKKKK!!!!!! Y’ALL JUST MADE MY FU*KING DAY BRO.”

Cudi retweeted the message with, “Haha Lets get it!!!”

Man on the Moon III will follow 10 years after Cudi’s Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager and 11 years after his debut effort, Man on the Moon: The End of Day. The artist last dropped off his collaborative project with Kanye West — Kids See Ghosts — in 2018.

This year, he’s primarily teased Entergalactic, another upcoming LP, and released loosies like “The Scotts” with Travis Scott and “The Adventures of Moon Man & Slim Shady” with Eminem. Cudi has also been promoting his upcoming Netflix series — also named “Entergalactic” — which will be an animated show based on his concept album.

Currently, Cudi can be seen in the HBO miniseries “We Are Who We Are.” Earlier this year, he also appeared in Bill & Ted Face the Music alongside Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.
