With a career spanning over a decade, Kid Cudi has officially scored his first-ever No. 1 song with his Travis Scott-assisted single, “The Scotts.” The track — named for Scott and Cudi’s newly formed duo — debuted at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, dethroning The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” and pushing Drake’s “Toosie Slide” to No. 3.

“THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!!!” Cudi celebrated on Twitter. “IVE BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 12 YEARS AND I FINALLY DID THIS W MY MUTHAFU*KIN BROTHER! TO MY PARTNER IN RAGE TRAVIS AND ALL MY FANS AROUND THE WORLD THAT SUPPORTED US AND GOT US ON LISTS, I FUCKIN LOVE YOU!!”

“All because of YOU,” he added on Instagram. “I love yall!! So so much.”

Cudi and Scott unveiled their collaboration on April 24. The single marked their debut effort as a duo — deemed The Scotts — and their second collaboration overall. Scott and Cudi last named up on the Cleveland native’s 2016 project Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ on “Baptized In Fire.”

Prior to “The Scotts” Cudi previewed an unreleased track called “Do What I Want” while chatting with “Black AF” stars Rashida Jones and Kenya Barris on Instagram Live. He also dropped his single, “Leader of the Delinquents.” Both songs are expected to appear on his forthcoming album Entergalactic, which will be accompanied by his adult animated Netflix series of the same name.

“Entergalactic will be something you’ve never experienced,” he tweeted about the show last July. “I promise it’ll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!”

Though he hasn’t announced an official release date for Entergalactic, Cudi’s album is expected to arrive this summer. For now, stream “The Scotts” below.
