Black excellence came together in a major way yesterday afternoon (Jan. 25) at the annual Roc Nation brunch ahead of the 2020 Grammy Awards. Photos began circulating social media of everyone’s favorite celebs, draped in their Sunday’s best. According to Bossip, this year’s event was in conjunction with Modern Fidelity, Puma, Super Coffee, American Express, Saks Fifth Avenue, and DLA Piper, along with Diddy’s Ciroc brand and JAY-Z’s Dusse.

Household names such as JAY-Z, Beyoncé Diddy, DJ Khaled, Megan Thee Stallion, Miguel, Meek Mill, Winnie Harlow, Ella Mai, Usher, Kelly Rowland, June Ambrose, Kevin Hart, Jhene Aiko, Big Sean, Terrence J, La La Anthony and more were in attendance at the star-studded event.

Lauren London and the late Nipsey Hussle’s sister Samantha Smith were in the building as well.

The 2020 Roc Nation Brunch, which is among a number of celebratory events before celebs gather for the 62nd Grammy Awards, was held at what appears to be an undisclosed location.

The Grammy Awards will commence tonight (Jan. 26) and will be hosted by Alicia Keys for the second consecutive year. She became the first woman to host the awards show after Queen Latifah in 2005.

“At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host,” Keys tells Billboard. “Last year was such a powerful experience for me. Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music.”

In its’ typical fashion, the award show will contain performance and speeches, but also, there will be a tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle. According to Vibe, the tribute will feature appearances by YG, DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, Roddy Ricch, John Legend and Kirk Franklin.
