Nipsey Hussle might be receiving a tribute at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards later this month. According to Hits Daily Double, the Grammys will reportedly honor the late rapper during the award show. It is uncertain who will participate in the tribute because the Record Academy has not yet confirmed the report.

Nipsey has also received three posthumous Grammy awards for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap/Sung performance.

The award show is take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 26.

The rapper received a tribute at the BET Awards following his death from DJ Khaled, John Legend and YG.

Nipsey was tragically shot and killed outside of his Marathon Clothing store on March 31, 2019. His legacy and music, however, have not been forgotten. The rapper’s debut album, Victory Lap, was officially certified platinum. The record was No. 1 on the iTunes album chart and his 2013 mixtape Crenshaw was No. 5.

The rapper is said to have averaged about 2 million streams prior to his passing, but amassed 10 million audio streams after his death and 57 million the day after.

Nipsey previously spoke of his Grammy nod for Best Rap Album and told Rolling Stone, “My producers, like Mike & Keys, have been on Grammy nominated albums prior to working on mine. So when they would start that talk, I’d be like, ‘Chill out.’ That ain’t really what the spirit of the project was. It was more trying to deliver on our potential as producers, writers, rappers. We knew we had potential to make dope, next-level rap music. So when they started the Grammy talk, I’d be like, ‘Don’t do that.’ We don’t want to judge the success of the album based on whether it gets recognized or not. I want to create in a vacuum.”
