Tyler, the Creator, Lizzo, Run-D.M.C. and more to perform at 2020 Grammys

The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on Jan. 26.

Tyler, the Creator, Run-D.M.C. and more are set to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards. Tyler, who is currently nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2020 Grammys, shared the good news via Twitter on Tuesday (Jan. 14).

The IGOR rapper will also be joined by Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Aerosmith, Run-D.M.C., Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato.

According to Variety, Run-D.M.C. is confirmed to share a special joint performance with Aerosmith. The hip hop group first teamed up with the iconic rock band in 1986 for a remixed version of “Walk This Way.” The original song was initially released in 1975 on Aerosmith’s third studio album, Toys in the Attic, peaking at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

However, a decade later, Rick Rubin prompted Run-D.M.C. to revamp the song, which was included on their 1986 album, Raising Hell. Run-D.M.C.’s “Walk This Way” featuring Aerosmith became the first rap-rock hit, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also credited for paving the way for the Beastie Boys’ debut album, Licensed to Ill.

Run-D.M.C. is not expected to stay on stage with Aerosmith for their entire performance, although they have reunited several times since their collaborated hit. Aerosmith will reportedly perform a career-spanning medley, with Run-D.M.C. joining them for “Walk This Way.”

This year, Lizzo will make her debut as both a Grammy performer and nominee. The Cuz I Love You singer leads the way with a total of eight Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Best Urban Contemporary Album, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best R&B Performance and Best Traditional R&B Performance.

The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will once again be hosted by Alicia Keys and broadcast live on Jan. 26. Catch the ceremony on CBS, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
