The song is expected to appear on her forthcoming album ‘Dawn.’

Yebba is set to release her new project, Dawn, officially this Friday (Sept 10) and the 26-year-old singer has dropped off the final preview today (Sept 8) with her fresh new single “All I Ever Wanted.” The gospel-rooted singer also just eased listeners into her world once again earlier this month with her artfully executed “Boomerang” visual. The new track is filled with her honest lyrics about having to move on from something she wanted to hold on to:

I walked across the wire, straight to the razor’s edge for you/ Cut through my own desire, only to watch you hold her/ Don’t you know, I tried to call but can I stay the night?/ You whisper “one more time” turning my tears into diamonds that fall through your sky and after all that you promised

All I ever wanted was you and now I know we both got our obligations but/ All I ever wanted was you, I dreamt that we were fallin’ but it was just a pouring rain/ No heat worth holding onto, so I grabbed my shit to leave again

Recently, the singer has made headlines everywhere this week for her appearance on Drake’s freshly released Certified Lover Boy album. She also handed Lucky Daye a noteworthy assist earlier this year for his Table for Two EP. In terms of her own music, she released her single “Louie Bag” just a few weeks ago, which boasts a feature from Smino.

Before the big day, Yebba took some time to express how she’s currently feeling. “It’s strange to hear myself before these last 5 years,” she honestly types. “Dawn comes out Friday, I’m excited, sad, and a lil numb. Cheers.”

Be sure to press play on Yebba’s brand new single “All I Ever Wanted.”
