The song is expected to appear on her forthcoming album ‘Dawn.’

Yebba is steadily gearing up for the release of her forthcoming album, Dawn, and the 26-year-old gospel-rooted singer is easing fans into her world with her fresh new single “Boomerang.” The new video opens up with some shots of a large dessert landscape before revealing Yebba, who is looking over from a distance as she opens up with her vocals:

If I shoot him in the stomach, then he’s hurting on my dime, and if I shoot him in the head, then he’s dead and he’s livin’ on my mind/ My reflection in the mirror her perfection in his eyes I’m a danger to myself/ I run from twelve and take my rage across the county line

But I won’t let this go, not my tomorrow/ Don’t forget your pride, it’s laying in her bed of sorrow/ What you done to me I swear to you it’s gonna come back like a boomerang

As the video progresses, the man is seemingly trying to get closer and closer, only to be shot backwards at every attempt like a boomerang. Yebba made sure to post a few words of appreciation on her Instagram for the creative behind the visual. “Aka Desert Delilah, Meadow Matilda, Pasture Patty, Terrain Tonya, but you can call me Ranch-hand Regina,” Yebba types. “Big thanks to Francesco Carrozzini for his unmatched creativity and spirit of collaboration. Thank you for capturing this song.”

Recently, the singer has made headlines everywhere this week for her appearance on Drake’s freshly released Certified Lover Boy album. She also handed Lucky Daye a noteworthy assist earlier this year for his Table for Two EP. In terms of her own music, she released her single “Louie Bag” just a few weeks ago, which boasts a feature from Smino.
