Last year, Logic unveiled his sixth studio LP No Pressure, a project that acted as a sequel of sorts to his critically-acclaimed debut Under Pressure. Said to be the Maryland star’s retirement album at the time, the project contained 15 tracks with uncredited contributions from Anna Elyse, David Hayter, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Juicy J, Lil’ Keke, No I.D., and more. As with the rest of his discography, No Pressure was considered both a critical and commercial success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 thanks to 221,000 album equivalent units streamed and sold — it also landed comfortably on other charts around the globe.
Last September, Logic took to Twitter to comment on a “rant” that Kanye West was having in regards to record label contracts, revealing that one of No Pressure’s standout cuts, the Keanu Beats, FnZ, and 6ix-produced “Perfect,” has a remix featuring Lil Wayne — unfortunately, the song would not see the light of day due to alleged financial issues with Def Jam. Despite this, the song did eventually leak in some capacity months later, much in part thanks to the power of Logic’s internet-savvy followers.
Today (Sept. 24), “Perfect (Remix)” finally gets a proper release, which sees A$AP Ferg joining the party. To no one’s surprise, all artists are effortlessly able to match each other’s energy with otherworldly bars and off-the-wall subject matter:
“I quarantine with a foreign ting, Gucci sweats with the drawstrings, eating ex like soybeans, smiling like I’m Paul Wall, sipping all this Pauline, she got a body like an RR, I sleep inside it like a RV, gimme adderall, gimme perc, fuck it, I’m still on, full alert, I eat every pussy on Earth and still have room for dessert...”
