The Rich Gang collab also comes with a matching visual.

This weekend, Birdman has decided to revive his Rich Gang brand, beginning with a new single alongside longtime collaborator Young Thug. Today (August 27), the New Orleans mogul unveils “Blue Emerald,” a T-Minus-produced effort that sees Thugger rapping about women, riches, and more:

“Blue diamond in the eyes and they glow up when they blink, put Chanel, put Chanel, purple emeralds in your teeth, every time I try to fill her, I try not to be a creep, every time I touch her, she gon’ move my hand and touch me, every time, heard she wanna fuck with a nigg’, every time, heard she got him stuck in his ribs, thirty times, she want me to talk to her nice every time…”

Directed by Michelle Parker, the clip shows Thugger, Birdman, and some eye candy in a Rolls Royce Cullinan. Elsewhere, a few more women dance seductively in a white room, while Chris Brown makes a cameo alongside the collaborators.

For Birdman, “Blue Emerald” follows last May’s “Stunnaman,” which features Lil Wayne and Roddy Ricch and was released in conjunction of the forthcoming film She Ball, a movie created in conjunction with Cash Money Records and Nick Cannon’s Ncredible Entertainment. His last full-length release was 2019’s Just Another Gangsta, his joint album alongside former Hot Boy Juvenile.

Meanwhile, Thugger continues to remain at the top of hip hop’s echelon, both as a solo artist and via his Young Stoner Life imprint — the second installment of Young Thug & Co’s Slime Language series peaked at the top of the Billboard 200 last April. Just last week, he kicked off his Punk campaign with the infectious new single (an accompanying visual for) “Tick Tock.”
