Back in 2019, Roddy Ricch delivered his debut LP Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial, a 16-track effort that saw a slew of appearances from Gunna, Lil Durk, Meek Mill, Mustard, Ty Dolla $ign, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. While he was already buzzing off of his Feed The Streets mixtape series, it was Antisocial that truly propelled the Compton talent into hip hop’s upper echelon — the album landed him at the top of the Billboard 200 thanks to 101,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week, eventually hitting the double Platinum mark and counting. Even better, Roddy topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart as well via the viral hit “The Box.”

This past March, Roddy began to build new momentum with a new single titled “Heartless,” which he initially premiered during a performance at the Grammy Awards. Today, he follows that with new heat titled “Late At Night,” a reunion with Mustard that was first teased about a month ago. Simply put, the melodic cut is a late night romp that’s perfect for a night of summer debauchery:

“Late at night, kiss me in the morning, late at night, kiss me driving in without my light, kiss me in your bed, late at night, until the sun come up...”

Thanks to his own success, Roddy’s become a hot commodity amongst his peers, and — in 2020 alone — has provided show-stealing verses on songs like Meek Mill’s “Letter To Nipsey,” NLE Choppa’s “Walk Em Down,” A Boogie’s “Numbers,” and the late Pop Smoke’s “The Woo.” One particular collaboration, DaBaby’s “Rockstar,” skyrocketing to the top of charts across the globe, earning both artists enough Platinum plaques to line the walls of a museum.

Fans can enjoy “Late at Night,” courtesy of Director X — hopefully, a new body of work (Feed The Streets III, perhaps) isn’t too far away.
