Last month, Baltimore’s Shordie Shordie teamed up with Fort Erie, Ontario super-producer Murda Beatz for Memory Lane, a 12-track project featuring a single feature from Trippie Redd. This week, the dynamic duo drop off a new visual from the full-length release for “Ride With Shordie,” which sees additional production from Marz and acts as a short-yet-effective closing cut with the type of catchy lines that earned Shordie his “Captain Hook” nickname:

“I’d rather ride with Shordie, and all of his friends with him, even that 40, like I’m bad and my bitch is too, fuck them hoes before me, look at the ho, got confidence, I don’t think you good for me, move cautious, like a nigga ain’t takin’ no losses/”

The matching video comes courtesy of CatchRec and shows Shordie, Murda, a few beautiful women, and plenty of their homies running what looks like a taco truck in Los Angeles. Given how high in demand Shordie is these days, it’s safe to say that business is booming and the food being served up in the colorful clip represents that.

Memory Lane follows Shordie’s 2020 release >Music, which saw 13 infectious cuts from the Peso Da Mafia alum. Outside of his own work, he can also be heard on songs like AzChike’s “AYE AYE,” 03 Greedo and RONRONTHEPRODUCER’s “Baccstage,” and Mozzy’s “So Lonely.” Meanwhile, Murda Beatz has continues to create chart-topping records for his peers, including “Doors Unlocked” with Ty Dolla $ign and Polo G and “Banana Split” with YNW Melly and Lil Durk. Currently, the Canadian beatsmith is said to be working on the official sequel to his 2016 debut LP Keep God First, which will hopefully be making landfall sometime by year’s end.
