Earlier this month, the multi-talented Eddie Huang unveiled his film Boogie, a coming to age story about an Asian American who has dreams of playing basketball professionally. The movie stars Taylor Takahashi, Taylour Paige, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Bashar “Pop Smoke” Jackson — the last of whom filmed his parts just prior to his tragic death.

In addition to appearing in Boogie, the accompanying soundtrack also boasted an unreleased track from Pop Smoke titled “AP,” a Rico Beats and 808 Melo-produced cut that sees the late Brooklyn star rapping about his street background and career successes:

“Look, I got fifty-two shots in this Glock and an infrared up on an opp if he let off, Trey Suvy hold a chop, yellow tape when it pop, knock his head off, load up the chop, it go dumb, niggas see me and they run, silencer up on the gun, niggas will shoot you for nun’/”

Now, a new visual for “AP” has arrived, which comes courtesy of Peter Hoang and Zach Villafana. The video mixes behind the scenes clips of Pop Smoke with footage from Boogie, and is all brought together with CGI footage paying tribute to the fallen rapper — from a version of Pop as the Statue of Liberty to his jersey in a stadium locker room.

Last July, Pop Smoke’s debut album Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon made landfall, which saw 19 cuts and a wealth of features from King Combs, Lil Tjay, Tyga, Quavo, 50 Cent, Roddy Ricch, Rowdy Rebel, Future, Swae Lee, Lil Baby, DaBaby, and more. Weeks later, a deluxe edition would materialize that added on 15 additional songs and new assists from the likes of Fivio Foreign, Young Thug, Queen Naija, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
