Fans have been steadily asking for Lil Tjay’s “Calling My Phone“ track since he previewed it numerous times on Twitter and TikTok in December and into January. The new song sees Bronx native collaborating with 6lack. On the track, Tjay is tired of the games and the back and forth:

I don’t wanna be textin’ your name no more. I ain’t tryna feel this pain no more/ And I’m sorry but my feelings ain’t the same no more. Used to be my homie, you ain’t gang no more. I am not a n***a you could claim you no more. Traumatized, hoping it don’t rain no more/ But you done put me through some things, I done changed my aura. Now all around the world, I explore her, no Dora/ New bands, I might drip out in Dior. Ass fat, shawty straight heat, no Florida.

The new track seems to be one of Lil Tjay’s favorite tracks he’s put out yet, as he confirmed in a tweet that he thinks this may be “the one.” Lil Tjay released the well-received EP State Of Emergency last year in May, which saw seven tracks and features from Jay Gwuapo, Sheff G, Sleepy Hallow, Fivio Foreign, and the late Pop Smoke. One of the tracks, “Zoo York,” also saw an even bigger remix with the additions of French Montana following the original’s release. Tjay could also be heard handing out assists on tracks like Polo G’s “First Place” and Pop Smoke’s “Mood Swings.”

Prior to that, he liberated his debut studio album True 2 Myself in 2019 which saw 17 tracks and features from Rileyy Lanez, Jay Critch, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, and Lil Wayne. Since then, The New York artist has delivered loose singles like “Go In,” “20/20,” “First Place” with Polo G, “Move On,” and “Losses.”
