WESTSIDE BOOGIE continues to drop off quick-strike freestyles for his fans to enjoy. His latest sees him spitting bars over Tupac Shakur’s 90’s classic “Do For Love,” presumably in lieu of the forthcoming holiday. As with many previous efforts, BOOGIE’s relationship talk isn’t without its dramatic moments:

“See, what I won’t do is know your past gone, and still treat you like the old you, and try to latch on when I need to let you go soon, or let it drag on if you sayin’ you gon’ Goku, ‘cause I ain’t tryna hold you, no/

But what I will do is help you unlearn things, so I could then rebuild you, or when you in the crossfire, know I could come and shield you, or I could be a mirror just so you could know you still you…/”

The video comes courtesy of Josh Forman and shows BOOGIE rapping from a marijuana grow factory. Perhaps a proper smoke is the perfect response to stress over love.

“Do For Love” follows “Said Sum” — a freestyle over Moneybagg Yo’s hit single of the same name — and “Joe Exotic.” Prior to last, BOOGIE unveiled his latest official single “Outside,” which also features assistance from Joey BADA$$ and comes with an accompanying clip showing the Compton star in BADA$$’ NYC stomping grounds. In addition to his own work, BOOGIE could also recently be heard on LVRN’s “12 Days of Bhristmas” and REASON’s “Extinct (Extended).”

BOOGIE’s debut album Everythings For Sale was released back in 2019, boasting 13 tracks with additional appearances from JID, Snoh Aalegra, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, Shaé Universe, 6LACK, and Shady Records boss Eminem. Hopefully, the presence of a track like “Outside” means that a follow-up isn’t too far away.
