ABC’s brand new hip-hop musical series Queens premiered last month, which sees Eve, Brandy, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez become the fictional group Nasty Bitches, a hip-hop group from the 90’s who reunite for a second chance at fame. To date, we’ve received quite a few visuals for fans to enjoy, including “Nasty Girl,” “The Introduction” “Hear Me,” “Wrecking Ball,” and — most recently — “Heart of Queens,” a collaboration with rapper and “Queens” costar Cam’ron.

The latest visual from the show arrived today (Nov. 10) as Naturi Naughton sings “Love Still Finds Us” to a grieving audience at a funeral. With Brandy as her accompanying guitarist during the performance, she sings the pain-filled lyrics about having the strength to keep going:

We don’t know the hour, we don’t know the day/ When the ones we love are gone and fly far away/ But when that day comes, though the tears will flow, nothing else will matter more than the truth/ When we reach our journey’s then we’ll know/

Inside we tried, and no matter what was lost, one thing will survive like rivers, like mountains, they forgive every storm that tries to break them wide open/ So I know that love remains, when hard times, they shake us, they take us unto darkness where we stumble

Created by Zahir McGee, all the original music in Queens is performed by the show’s stars at the direction of executive producer Swizz Beatz. In terms of the show’s storyline, after their popularity skyrocketed with the success of their chart-topping single, the aforementioned “Nasty Girl,” they were once regarded as one of the greatest girl groups of their generation. Despite critical and commercial success, the group was plagued by internal conflict and jealousy.
