YN Jay made his return this week with “Coochie Scout Pt. 2,” the official second installment of his well-loved 2020 single. Lil Uzi Vert, who showed appreciation for YN Jay’s unique style before, joins Jay with the assist as the two go back and forth and trade bars. The song was previewed multiple times before being revealed in its entirety by Uzi in early October 2020 during an Instagram live stream, which aided in building up the anticipation for the official drop. By the time the second verse rolls around, the two are feeding off of each other’s energy effortlessly as they team up:

This summer, YN Jay dropped off his Coochi Chronicles project featuring appearances from Coi Leray, Rio Da Yung OG, and Louie Ray. In terms of other recent collabs, Lil Uzi Vert joined Meek Mill for his recent stand-out track “Blue Notes 2.” He also linked up with Isaiah Rashad for his “From The Garden” video and also assisted Trippie Redd for “Holy Smokes.” Last year, the Philly native gave fans clues about his forthcoming album. He said that the project was “coming soon” and promised it would sound like “old Uzi music.
