After some teasing, London stars RV, Chip, and BackRoad Gee join forces on the UK drill cut “Moonwalk Slide,” which sees production by beatsmith of the hour M1 On The Beat and contains both an infectious hook and clever street bars from all parties included:

“Hi, hello, greetings, I don’t know why dem man keep speaking, I was outside tryna slap man’s dome, level four in that home, my ex thought I was cheating/

Countless shavings, numerous beatings, I’m in the O, posted with demons, opps get smoked, no Chip, on the backroad, on some Gee ting…/”

The collaboration also sees a dope visual courtesy of LUKEFRSH, and features plenty of dancing and beautiful women. BackRoad Gee keeps the high energy amongst a mob of the artists’ crews, while Chip and RV flex their wealth from the back of a high-end vehicle. Clearly, the pandemic isn’t slowing anyone down by a long shot.

Last year, RV blessed the masses with dope cuts like “Timing” with Slay Products, “Like Usher,” and “Back To Back” with Headie One. It was also with fellow OFB member Headie One that RV released Drillers x Trappers and its sequel Drillers x Trappers II in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Hopefully, the new single means that a new project from RV is on the way.

Meanwhile, Chip has been rather prolific with his rhymes well into the new year. In addition to a feature on Bugzy Malone’s “Notorious,” the Tottenham emcee has also released video clips for the tracks “Lumidee” and “10 Commandments,” the latter of which is a scathing diss track toward fellow UK peer Stormzy. Next week, Chip will also liberate his new project Snakes & Ladders, which boasts 21 tracks and additional assists from the likes of Stylo G, Dizzee Rascal, Jme, Young M.A, and D-Block Europe.
