This Friday (May 29), Lil Yachty will liberate the third and final installment of his highly successful Lil Boat series. To hold fans over, he drops off a two-for-one visual for “Split” and “Whole Time,” both of which were produced by Earl On The Beat and sees Yachty flexing in harmony as usual:
“Sipping the peach soda, the n***as inside they gone hide till the heat is over, imma ride till the beat is over, two Chanel bags, same price as my mink sofa/
And I move like the king cobra, sliming them out dog I didn’t have to think it over, this lil’ bitch imma bend her over, after I’m done called the gang, imma send her over/
I’m in tune with the UPS, waiting on packages, KP gone do the rest, got some b***hes in Budapest, strapped with them K’s, they walk around wearing bullet vests/”
The video sees splits between Yachty and a large crew of people with flashy cars out in the streets, and taking over what it presumably the Sky Zone trampoline park in Atlanta. Cameos from Playboi Carti, Druski and more can be seen throughout the clip, which was hopefully filmed prior to the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent quarantine.
Yachty took to social media to announce Lil Boat 3’s upcoming release, which will see 19 songs and, at the very least, his March single “Oprah’s Bank Account” with Drake and DaBaby. The project follows A-Team, his collaborative release alongside Zaytoven and Lil Keed. His last solo studio effort, Nuthin’ 2 Prove, was released back in 2018. In a recent interview with XXL, Yachty spoke on his due credit in the rap game:
“I feel like I’m slept-on in general, just period. I’m not saying I’m the best, you know, I never can say I’m the best rapper, or even if I was best-dressed. But I do this s***. For real. It don’t break me. I’m still here…”
