We haven’t heard much from YG since he collaborated with his now ex-girlfriend Kehlani on the track “Konclusions” this past Valentine’s Day. Today, he delivers a new single titled “Laugh Now Kry Later,” which is produced by Pasqué, FranchiseDidIt, and Iceberg. The track sees the Compton star choosing to focus more on the positive aspects of his eventful life:

“Laugh now, cry later, do yourself a favor, I’m in the Lambo’ slidin, this ain’t nothin’ major/

Every day, straight faded, I don’t do chasin’, they just raided my house, they some f***in’ haters/

Momma on the phone, like, “gotta be safe,” granny on three-way, granny sayin’ prayers/

Kissin’ on my lil’ babies, gotta see ‘em later, the devil ain’t a lie, he a f***in’ hater…/”

The track comes with an accompanying visual that sees YG cruising the coast in his Lamborghini. There’s also shots of him counting money with his daughter and standing next to a painting of his late friend Nipsey Hussle, all mixed with some eye candy for good measure.

Last May, YG delivered his fourth studio album 4Real 4Real, which saw 14 tracks and appearances from DaBaby, Kamaiyah, Ty Dolla $ign, Meek Mill, Valee, and more. Later in the year, he teamed up with Tyga and Carlos Santana for the Rvssian-produced “Mamacita.” He’s also continued to expand his 4Hunnid brand, inking a new joint venture deal with Epic Records. He spoke on his partnership with Sylvia Rhone via press release:

“Me and my team have been doing innovative, legendary stuff for years — helping keep the West Coast alive. Now Epic comes through at the best possible time with a platform for our expansion. I’m proud of this opportunity and will make the most of it.”

Press play on “Laugh Now Kry Later” below. Don’t be surprised to see a new project from YG sooner than later.
