DaBaby is planning his next move before the year comes to an end.

During a virtual interview with Ebro Darden on Friday (April 24), the Charlotte rapper announced that he plans to drop another album this year. As DaBaby’s fans might recall, he released his third studio album, Blame It On Baby, earlier this month. “You asking if I’m gonna drop another album?” DaBaby asked Darden during the interview. “Damn right. Definitely, definitely, for sure. I can’t not do that. I gotta put out more.”

In the wake of his recent album drop, DaBaby has been making his rounds doing virtual interviews. During a conversation with “The Breakfast Club,” the “Suge” rapper addressed the mixed reviews he received following the release of his latest LP.

“As far as switching the flow, I have no problem rapping circles around any one of these n***as,” DaBaby said in response to those who criticized his flow. “I couldn’t find myself entertaining that. I could joke about it just like I joke about everything else. I’ll make a conscious album right now, I’ll record the whole s—t today. On some J. Cole vibes. Joyner Lucas. I can get in there too.”

He continued, “At the end of the day, I understand what’s going on. You gotta milk the game. You gotta take advantage of it. If I switch it too quick, you ain’t gon’ like it. You gon’ be like ‘Damn Baby, I wanted you to turn me up.’ When you got something going, you would be a fool to step on your own toes and go left with it.”

In a similar fashion to DaBaby, engineer DJ K.i.D also shared a similar sentiment about critics’ “same flow” remark. “In the camp, we all know Baby don’t have the same type of flow,” he explained.
