Two California talents linked up for the making of J Stone’s “Hella Toasted.” The new visual sees J Stone cruising through the streets of LA, while the video flips back and forth between scenes of him and E-40 in a photo studio trading bars. On the track, the Bay Area legend opens up with a hook to reel listeners in:

I don’t snort power, all I do is drink, it helps me think. I be goin’ out my body. My diamonds, shittin’ on em like a potty. My raps be going sing sing, They say 40 do his thing thing. Right now I’m hella toasted. Me and my bitch posted.

This year saw the release of two J Stone projects, The Definition of Pain and Ground Zero. “Hella Toasted” appears on The Definition of Pain project, which is equipped with 18 tracks in total and boasts features from impressive names like the late great Nipsey Hussle, T.I., Dom Kennedy, T-Pain, Mike D’Angelo, Dave East, and more. Ground Zero is a collaboration project with Pacman da Gunman. Prior to those two projects was 2019’s The Definition of Loyalty.

E-40 has been in headlines lately thanks to his Verzuz battle with fellow Bay Area legend Too $hort. Just ahead of the battle, the two joined forces to prep their fans with the gift of a buldle album titled Ain’t Gone Do It/Terms and Conditions. The bundle represents the fusion of each artist’s new and respective solo albums, with moments that represent old Bay Area meeting the new. Ain’t Gone Do It contains 10 hits from Too $hort along with guest features from Guapdad 4000, Rayven Justice, Mistah F.A.B., Tiny MD, BossLife Big Spence, and more. E-40 takes over for the second half, coming in with his 10 tracks and boasting assists from Freddie Gibbs, Blxst, Drakeo the Ruler, Larry June, and more.
