An OG Atlanta legend meets a new one on “Pardon,” T.I. and Lil Baby’s collab track which just dropped today. Right off top, T.I. comes in hot for his verse and even gives quick a shout out to Harden:

“I just put the Patek on a throwaway, shawty tried to take a n***a soul away, beg your pardon. Big body rolls give me road rage, swervin’ in an Aston Martin, beg your pardon. Heard somebody say I wasn’t poppin’, well, they been misinformed. I got a hundred K in my pocket. I be outside totin’ carbon with the young n****s shootin’ like Harden, beg your pardon.”

In recent news, T.I. linked up with Lil Duval to deliver a tune that served to uplift people’s spirits. The two shared their song “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” a 2020 spin on Bobby McFerrin’s classic hit. He also tapped in with fellow ATL rapper Young Thug for the release of their newest collab single “Ring” back in September. He also spent a good amount of his time guiding new talent as a judge on Netflix’s widely watched show Rhythm & Flow.

Back in May, Lil Baby released his chart-topping 2020 project My Turn and has been reaping the benefits of its success since. In an interview from earlier this year, Lil Baby spoke about how it felt to be able to come and give back to his community in Atlanta:

“Just to be able to come back on a positive note and actually touch this ground again and see some of these faces again… I can’t even explain it. I was once in a state where I knew for sure I wasn’t ever coming back here…. To be able to come, give back and be something, and perform for children, that means everything to me.”
