Lil Durk continues to bring dope cuts to his fans. Almost two months after the release of “The Voice,” the Chicago star teams up with Young Thug and 6LACK for the hard-hitting cut “Stay Down,” which is produced by Metro Boomin and DY Krazy and sees the three letting the ladies know how loyal they need to be to earn their time and energy:

“I don’t discriminate, I want a rich life, shawty showing’ her p***y all on Tik Tok, p***y dripping, Blue Face gotta switch mops, why you trippin’? Just give me all your attention/

I be deep inside her stomach make her guts talk, I don’t want that quiet sex, I want that slut talk, stop acting like you don’t wanna go to that slut walk.../”

Mere months prior to “Stay Down” and “The Voice,” Lil Durk delivered his fifth studio album Just Cause Y’all Waited 2, his sequel to 2018’s Just Cause Y’all Waited that boasts 15 tracks and assists from Lil Baby, Polo G, Gunna, and G Herbo. That project has proved to be Durk’s highest selling to date, landing at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to 57 album equivalent units collected during its first week of release. Weeks later, Durk upgraded Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 with a deluxe edition, adding seven additional cuts overall.

In a recent interview with REVOLT, Lil Durk spoke on both the original and deluxe release of Just Cause Y’all Waited 2:

“It’s doing better than I expected. I was originally putting out to get prepared for the new album with Metro. It’s good that the quarantine happened (laughs). I put it out to feed the fans for real until he’s ready because you know him and 21 [Savage] have to drop, so hopefully he drops soon.”

Given that Savage Mode 2 has made landfall, folks can probably hope for Durk’s next offering soon. Until then, you can enjoy the video for “Stay Down” below.
