In a couple of months, Kojey Radical will unveil his latest body of work Reason To Smile, which will contain 15 cuts and collaborations alongside Tiana Major9, Kelis, Masego, Wretch 32, Shakka, Rexx Life Raj, and more. Following the well-received singles “Gangsta” and “War Outside” with Lex Amor, the London multi-talent reveals another titled “Payback,” which features Knucks and sees production from Swindle – making for the trio’s latest connection since the beatsmith’s October release THE NEW WORLD. This go ‘round, Kojey and Knucks are laser focused on getting to the proverbial bag:
“Speak a money language, can’t spot the accent, poetry in motion, my pen look like a MAC-10, moving like the 10-10, prove it like I’m Tintin, rap my freedom like a gift, and I ain’t seen the trap since, long day, no sleep, I was doin’ mad trips, mind doing backflips, crease in the Stan Smiths, plenty other fish in the sea, but they catfish, not even in a bank we trust, it’s in a mattress…”
Directed by Charlie Sarsfield, “Payback” comes with a matching visual that sees Kojey Radical and Knucks dressed to the nines while vibing heavily throughout what looks like a massive residence. Elsewhere, they both dine with their loved ones (while Swindle plays the keys nearby) and make sure to rep their African heritage, with Kojey and Knucks donning Ghanian and Nigerian flags throughout the well-dappered clip.
