Last week, Gunna dropped off his third studio LP DS4EVER, which also serves as the latest installment of his Drip Season series. The project contains 19 tracks and additional assists from 21 Savage, Kodak Black, Chlöe, Lil Baby, G Herbo, Chris Brown, Roddy Ricch, and more.
Just prior to its release, fans expected the album to include a collaboration with Drake titled “P power” — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Today, the Metro Boomin-produced jam officially makes landfall on the extended version of DS4EVER, and beautifully matches the over theme with the Atlanta-to-Toronto duo rapping about their various escapades with women:
“I’m comin’, my baby, forget a crocodile Birkin, my baby, show you a link, now you workin’, my baby, you fuck on me, it feel personal, baby, trust me, it’s comin’ full circle, my baby, the dash in the Benz is virtual, baby, you seein’ 3D off a Perky, my baby, seein’ HD off the 2C, my baby, heard he want gang, it get spooky, my baby, how can I worry ’bout blocking with buttons when niggas is out here and Glockies is bussin’? How can I not be the topic discussion…”
It’s clear how much chemistry Gunna and Drake have together on wax, especially since this isn’t their first rodeo — the hip hop stars have previously joined forces on top tier cuts like Lil Baby and Gunna’s Drip Harder banger “Never Recover,” as well as the more recent “Solid,” which can be found on Young Thug, Gunna, and Young Stoner Life‘s chart-topping compilation Slime Language 2.
Press play on “P Power” below. In related news, HitsDailyDouble has reported that DS4EVER looks to have an amazing first-week forecast thanks to a projected 144,000 album equivalent units sold. If so, this would eclipse Gunna‘s previous album WUNNA, which still pulled in an impressive 111,000 units (and a Platinum plaque) back in 2020.
