YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been feeding his fans well since his release from prison — thus far, the Baton Rouge star has released “Black Ball,” “Heart & Soul,” “Alligator Walk,” “Emo Rockstar,” and “Fish Scale.” Outside of his solo releases, he also connected with Birdman for the joint effort From The Bayou.

Over the past weekend, YoungBoy delivered not one, but two new singles for the world to take in. The first was the Jason Goldberg, Hurtboy AG, BEATSAINTFREE JG, and Clay Priskorn-produced “Emo Love,” which, as the title suggests, sees him putting his heart on his sleeve throughout the melodic, melancholy effort:

Stole my heart, don’t know where you run or you from, you left me alone with fire in my lungs, you just left me to burn, baby, I don’t know where to start searchin’ to find you, I don’t know a place the devil’d hide you, I don’t know where should I turn, don’t know why you want to burn me down, beggin’ you to save me, don’t flame me, I need water now…”

Then, yesterday (Jan. 9) saw another song make landfall titled “Foolish Figure,” which saw production from most of the aforementioned producers (Clay Priskorn was replaced by LC) and largely sticks with the same subject matter as its immediate predecessor:

“I need you to hold on, Kentrell, you gotta carry on and don’t fail, they know that I get it on by myself, how it feel? They know that I don’t care, if you gotta go to school, my nigga, I done made it here without no rules, my nigga, love ’em all, you know that I ain’t chose a nigga, they tell me I’m a star, I’m just a foolish figure…”

Press play on both “Emo Love” and “Foolish Figure” below. A new project from YoungBoy Never Broke Again should be arriving sooner than we think.
