YoungBoy Never Broke Again continues to drop off loose cuts for his fans to enjoy. The latest is “Emo Rockstar,” a Exavis, 12Hunna, and DY Krazy-produced offering that — as the title suggests — sees him baring his soul with melodic, emotionally charged subject matter:

My heart shackled down, kill me if they can takе my head off, mama, I got millions, I go and buy a big house, won’t forgive if it’s civilians, whеn I let that stick off, they just waitin’ on the kid fall, they done got me pissed off, I come from the gutter, fuck where I was, where I’m not though, it can’t be another, there’s only one and only Top, so, please don’t judge me because I’m me, him with facial paint, that’s who they wanna fuckin’ see…”

Directed by FlyGuyNick, the accompanying visual for “Emo Rockstar” sees YoungBoy going through the motions within and around his Utah residence — the same place he was seen during his “Black Ball” clip, much in part a result of his current legal issues. Throughout, viewers can see him masked up while wielding a guitar in his garage. He also keeps with the (presumably) wrestling-inspired face paint, which he revealed gave him a “goth” vibe during a past Clubhouse meet-up:

“I like painting my face, putting makeup on. I like to look in the mirror and see everything black — like my eyes and shit … That’s me being myself. I feel comfortable that way.”

Back in September (and during his highly publicized incarceration), YoungBoy liberated his third studio album Sincerely, Kentrell, which originally came with 21 tracks and zero features from other artists. Shortly after its release, a couple of additional songs were added to the overall tracklist. All-in-all, Sincerely, Kentrell earned YoungBoy his fourth number one on the Billboard 200 thanks to 137,000 first week album equivalent units sold.
