Joyner Lucas has been treating his fans throughout 2021 with some top tier songs and collaborations, including “Legend” with Rick Ross, “Ramen & OJ” with Lil Baby, “Dreams Unfold” with Lil Tjay, “Your Heart” with J. Cole, and “Late to the Party” with Ty Dolla $ign, and more recently, “Duck Duck Goose” and “Rambo” with Lil Durk. He now slips in another offering before the fourth quarter wraps up with his freshly dropped single “My Escape.” On the track,

Look, I’m the realest one I know, tell them n***as not to play, ayy, I got secrets that I’m taking to grave, ayy/ Sixteen first time I caught a case, selling crack tryna get the fuck up out my momma’s place, ayy/ N***as trapped, I was plotting my escape, ooh

Gettin’ high, we was lockin’ out of space, ooh, I ain’t perfect, might’ve a few mistakes/ Might’ve cheated on my bitch, but I know she woulda stayed, ooh, ooh/ Look, I’m ill-matic with a street dream, I’ma independent one man street team/

Early last year, Joyner liberated his official debut LP ADHD, which came with 18 tracks and a slew of contributions from Timbaland, Logic, Young Thug, Chris Brown, Fabolous, and King OSF — the standout track and Fresh Prince tribute “Will” later saw a remix with a verse from its legendary namesake. A little over a year ago from today, Joyner will keep the tunes coming with the well-received project Evolution. Before 2020 met its end, Lucas dropped off the full-length project Evolution, which saw contributions from the likes of The Game, Elijah James, Ashanti, and Rick Ross. Fans were also able to enjoy videos from Evolution for “Fall Slowly,” “Snitch,” “Like A River,” “Zim Zimma,” and “Legend.”

Be sure to press play on Joyner Lucas’ brand new single “My Escape.”
