Late last year, Joyner Lucas released his newest body of work to date titled Evolution, a 13-track offering that saw additional features from Rick Ross, Elijah James, Ashanti, iyla, and The Game. Following last month’s new offering “Ramen & OJ” with Lil Baby, the Massachusetts emcee reaches back to Evolution, and reveals a short film of sorts from the project for “Zim Zimma.” The standout cut sees production from Leo Son and Juicebox Slim and borrows from Beenie Man’s classic 90’s cut “Who Am I? (Sim Simma).”

The cinematic clip begins with Lucas looking for his BMW, when Mark Wahlberg suddenly arrives in said vehicle and proceeds to take Lucas on a joyride in his own vehicle. Wahlberg suddenly wrecks the car, which leads to his passenger setting off on foot and ending up at George Lopez’s massive residence. He then continues his journey — with Lopez, no doubt — in an older, more beat-up Beamer. Taking an even more humorous turn, he then catches up with Diddy for a slow cruise in two kid-sized versions of the aforementioned brand. Throughout all of these moments, Lucas can also be seen making rather trippy references to luxury automobiles, including having keys surgically removed from his abdomen and getting his body-less head washed in a sink full of miniature cars.

In addition to Evolution, 2020 also saw Lucas liberating his official debut LP ADHD, which contained 18 high quality tracks with contributions from Timbaland, Fabolous, Logic, Young Thug, King OSF, and Chris Brown — the last of whom was also said to be dropping a now-mythical joint project with Lucas titled Angels & Demons. In addition to his own work, Lucas could also be heard dropping show-stealing verses on tracks by the likes of Eminem and E-40.

Tag-along with Joyner Lucas in his latest adventure, and — as he hinted at on social media — look out for plenty more from him sooner than later.
