Lil Baby addressed rumors that he’s currently dating Saweetie. On Thursday (Nov. 25), the Atlanta-bred hitmaker took to Twitter to clarify reports about his romantic status and said he’s not in a relationship with anyone.
“Baby not dating NO ONE!! I’m Single!” he wrote.
The tweet appears to be in response to a recent Hollywood Unlocked story that claimed Lil Baby and Saweetie are dating. The story, which broke on Wednesday (Nov. 24), reported that the pair was seen shopping together at a Chanel store in New York City over the weekend. Hollywood Unlocked also claimed Lil Baby spent nearly $100,000 at the store on gifts for the “Tap In” rapper.
According to outlet, footage of the pair’s alleged shopping date was captured on a nearby security camera. Saweetie was in New York City this past weekend for her “Saturday Night Live” debut. On Sunday (Nov. 21), she performed at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse 2021 in New Jersey, which Lil Baby also appeared at.
This isn’t the first time Saweetie has been caught in a relationship rumor. Earlier this year, fans linked her to NBA star James Harden and last month Soulja Boy made headlines for shooting his shot with the Bay Area native. In August, Saweetie also denied rumors that she was “quietly spending time” with her ex-boyfriend Quavo.
Lil Baby, on the other hand, co-parents his 2-year-old son Loyal with Jayda Cheaves. Hollywood Unlocked noted that Cheaves “liked” their Instagram post about the rapper’s supposed date with Saweetie.
In other news, Saweetie recently updated fans on the status of her debut studio album, Pretty Bitch Music. The 28-year-old explained that it’s “dropping soon,” but was initially delayed because she felt it was “a body of work with no soul.”
