Chicago rapper-producer and Pivot Gang Co-Founder Saba shares his latest single “Stop That” this week. “Stop That” follows his forthcoming Few Good Things funk-laden lead single “Fearmonger” featuring Daoud. The new offering arrives today alongside an accompanying music video co-directed by C.T. Robert and Jared Royal as Saba shares his reflective bars:

Today some feelings are leaving couldn’t help but feeling mistreated/ They sleep on my shit and then tell me to drop I don’t see the reason/ My misses run shit like a chief together we getting mischievous / The bottom is way lonelier than the top, but these n***as ain’t seen it

Stop that, stop it please, you more concern what others earn/ That says a lot to me I turned a million down a million times/ That’s not a lot to me (no). the game is changing/ I do the best that I can to attain it if we gotta gamble I bet on myself

Saba took some time to delve into an explanation of his intentions for the track. Speaking on the “Stop That,” Saba shares, “I feel like more often than not, we let our own judgement of ourselves knock our confidence off before anyone else even offers any feedback. Our own insecurities ring really loudly in our heads, to the point where we make ourselves smaller before giving anyone else the chance to. This is something that I feel like I found myself beginning to do over the years. Hiding from the uncomfortable moment.”

Back in 2018, Saba shared his magnum opus album Care For Me. That project included 10 tracks and appearances from theMIND and Kaina. In the meantime, he dropped off his two-pack for his tracks “Ziplock” and “Rich Don’t Stop.” He also joined Smino on the Judas and the Black Messiah soundtrack for their song “Plead The .45th.”
