Last month, AZ released his ninth studio LP Doe or Die II, the sequel to his 1995 debut Doe or Die. This go ‘round, the legendary emcee delivered 13 hard-hitting cuts with collaborations alongside Idris Elba, Jaheim, Rick Ross, Conway The Machine, Lil Wayne, and more.

Today (Oct. 25), fans get to check out a new visual from Doe or Die II for “Blow That Shit,” a Buckwild-produced effort that features Dave East and sees the artists rapping about past struggles and current successes:

“Secret agendas, I sit amongst my members involved, and like gods, we dialogue over dinnеrs incog’, close curtains, expose no pеrson, privacy’s a part of the weave, globally mergin, ’conversin’, speakin’ on physics through analytics…”

In a recent interview with REVOLT, AZ spoke on the creation of Doe or Die II, revealing that his intent to bring the album to fruition began more than a decade ago:

“To keep it 100, it had always been in my mind since 2010. I wanted it to be right. Through the course of the years, I was still trying to figure out if I wanted to go under an umbrella or make my own umbrella. I was going through the motions, recording and releasing singles. But, I really locked in when the pandemic hit because I was like, ‘It’s on. I got to get this shit done.’ It was an eye-opener.”

Doe or Die II arrives 12 years after AZ’s last body of work Legendary. Since then, the Brooklyn legend seemed to enjoy life off of wax for the most part — fans did receive some loose cuts in that time frame, including “We Movin,” “Red Magic,” “Back to Myself” with Soshy, “Save Them” with Raekwon and Prodigy, and “It’s Time.”
