A Cambodian couple who got married over the weekend was blessed with a generous gift from special guest Lil Uzi Vert. The Eternal Atake emcee visited his hometown of Philadelphia on Saturday (Oct. 9) and attended the wedding ceremony, where he entertained guests with a quick freestyle. The rapper also showcased a few moves on the dance floor and congratulated the newlyweds with a hug and a stack of cash.

Highlights from the night were shared on the bride’s Instagram account, where she addressed beliefs that Lil Uzi was an uninvited guest.

“Cheney&Rachatna wedding Oct9th,2021 wakanda4eva love y’all #family4eva,” she penned the caption. “Vert was invited, he didn’t crash the wedding.”

Lil Uzi may be a well known emcee, but if there’s one other thing he’s known for, it’s his viral dance moves. In August, for example, the “Money Longer” star was captured as he partied among the crowd of those attending the wedding of a Palestinian couple in New Jersey. At the time, he stole the spotlight from the married couple when he took the dance floor in traditional garb, captured the attention of the event’s guests and screamed, “Free Palestine.” Uzi was reportedly invited to the party, but similarly, social media fans assumed he crashed the event.

The Philly rapper also stole the show when his skills were displayed among artists who attended Michael Rubin’s birthday. Per clips shared on the page of his girlfriend and City Girls member JT, Lil Uzi Vert danced alone before eventually competing against Bobby Shmurda in a breakdancing battle.

Though Lil Uzi’s schedule allows him time to attend international weddings, he hasn’t strayed much from the music scene. He recently joined YN Jay on his new song “Coochie Pt. 2” and also appeared on “Blue Notes 2,” a song on Meek Mill’s new Expensive Pain project.
