Thus far, this year has seen Joyner Lucas release top tier singles like “Ramen & OJ” with Lil Baby, “Dreams Unfold” with Lil Tjay, and “Your Heart” with J. Cole, all of which raises hope that a new album is coming sooner than later. Today (Oct. 7), the Massachusetts emcee adds to that with his latest drop “Late to the Party,” a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign keeping it real about past deeds, untrustworthy women, and more:

“Feels like I did so much dirt I don’t believe in karma, did so much dirt I had to sleep with armor, all these niggas fuck around, someone better warn ‘em, like just roll up with that chopper, they ain’t see it comin’, and I ain’t scared of shit, don’t wanna see your honor, struggle wit’ my bitch, I don’t believe in drama, plus she for the streets, I don’t even want her, ‘bout to show her true colors, it ain’t even Autumn…”

Last year, Joyner Lucas liberated his official debut LP ADHD, a well-received offering that contained 18 cuts and notable appearances from Logic, Young Thug, Chris Brown, Timbaland, Fabolous, and more. The project also spawned top tier singles like “I Love,” “Isis,” “Devil’s Work,” and “Will” — the last of which served as a tribute to Will Smith. Not only did that song’s namesake acknowledge the honor, the Philly icon subsequently jumped on a remix of “Will” to remind listeners why he’s still one of the best to ever do it. Before 2020 met its end, Lucas dropped off the full-length project Evolution, which saw contributions from the likes of The Game, Elijah James, Ashanti, and Rick Ross. Fans were also able to enjoy videos from Evolution for “Fall Slowly,” “Snitch,” “Like A River,” “Zim Zimma,” and “Legend.”

Press play on Joyner Lucas and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Late To The Party.”
