Kanye West is looking to take over the tech industry. On Sunday (Oct. 3), TMZ discovered that the rap star filed a trademark application on Sept. 21 to use “Donda,” his mother’s name, as the brand name for a slew of new tech products.

According to his trademark application, Ye is planning to introduce a new line of tablet computers, audio speakers, surround sound systems and wearable tech, including smartwatches, smart glasses, activity trackers and more; to the market.

The Donda electronic brand will also offer earbuds, headphones, wireless headsets for tablets and phones and even smart jewelry, such as rings. TMZ writes that the company will also include electronic downloadable publications, such as books, magazines, journals, brochures, leaflets, pamphlets and newsletters that cover music and entertainment news.

Donda is also the name of Kanye’s 10th studio and No. 1-debuting album. Back In August, the Chicago native shared his first tech device linked to the album: a Donda stem player that allowed fans to create their own mixes from the project.

Kanye also recently filed a trademark application for a new line of homeware items named after himself. As reported by REVOLT, the collection will include towels, blankets, placemats, textile wall hangings, shower curtains and more.

On the collaborated merchandise front, Kanye’s Yeezy Gap line recently unveiled its latest creation: the “perfect hoodie.” As reported by REVOLT, the brand’s hoodies became available to purchase on Wednesday (Sept. 29) and include six colors.

The hooded sweatshirts go for $90 each, $70 for kids’ sizes, and will ship two to eight weeks after purchase. Kanye joined Gap as a partner last June and the brand has welcomed new customers since the release of his inaugural puffer coat this summer.

“We’ve had a much younger customer [since the partnership],” CEO Sonia Syngal told CNN after the coat’s release. “We’ve had 75 percent of those customers being new to the Gap brand.”
