This past weekend (Sept. 25), Ja Rule, Ashanti, and Plies held a concert in Charleston, WV, entertaining the crowd with rousing renditions of their biggest hits. What might be the most special moment of the night took place during Plies’ set, when a disabled fan who was celebrating her birthday took to the stage to twerk for him. He was so moved by the woman that he decided to gift her his chain, which he later revealed on social media was passed down to him by his family:

“Gave Her My Chain That Had Been Passed Down To Me In My Family For Years. As A Token Of My Appreciation To Her. Continue To Inspire Others Like U Did Me. You’re A Breath Of Fresh Air. Best Wishes On Everything!!!”

Plies’ recent goodwill comes several months after he held a funeral for his gold teeth. As previously reported by REVOLT, the humorous ceremony even saw the Floridian rapper creating a shallow grave for his jewelry, and signaled a big change for his life moving forward:

“Been a long time coming, but change is gon’ come. All these years … But like they say, all great things must come to an end. So, finna bury my gold teeth. … Made a lot of money with ‘em … and ate some of the best nookie this world has ever seen. … But moving forward, it’s a different me.”

Bak in 2020, Plies liberated his last body of work The Real Testament II, the official sequel to his 2007 debut The Real Testament. That project came with 17 songs and additional contributions from YK Osiris, Jackboy, Yung Lan, TNTXD, and more. A year prior, Plies dropped off The GOAT, which saw collaborations alongside the likes of Kevin Gates, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Key Glock, Tokyo Jetz, and Rod Wave.
