This Friday (Sept. 24), Lakeyah will unleash her My Time mixtape with DJ Drama as part of the historic Gangsta Grillz saga. The upcoming body of work already has plenty to be excited for as confirmed features include Tyga, Moneybagg Yo, and QC’s Bankroll Freddie. To amp up the anticipation, she linked up with Tee Grizzley for her latest single “313-414.” The title pays homage to the area codes of their respective home cities, Detroit and Milwaukee, and on her opening bars Lakeyah makes sure she makes the 414 proud:

Yeah, please tell these hoes they can’t fuck with me like I’m celibate, uh/ My name been poppin’, bitch, you know I’m way too relevant, yeah, I’m the biggest in the room, bitch, I’m a elephant, yeah/ Might blow a hundred on some ice just for the hell of it, the game, bitch, I’m ahead of it

I’m on these bitches top, they need Excedrin/ Countin’ commas, et cetera, money counter go beep-beep/ That new shit that them hoes drop was weak-weak (Weak)/ This heater bake a bitch up like a pie, these bitches sweet-sweet

Back in April, QC’s very own Lakeyah unleashed her latest body of work In Due Time and has been spoiling fans with consistency in terms of fly visuals. First leading with the lavish “Easy” video, then the Gucci Mane-assisted “Poppin’” cut, then “Too Much,” “Perfect” featuring Yung Bleu, she continued with “Young And Ratchet” and kept her momentum going to set up her stage perfectly for My Time to arrive.

The aforementioned In Due Time project includes features from Gucci Mane, Yung Bleu, and boasts production credits from names like Hitmaka, OG Parker, G Styles, and multiple cuts handled by Heavy. She’s kept busy this year by consistently releasing music videos to accompany her tracks from her previous project Time’s Up. Earlier this year, Lakeyah was living lavish in her visual for “Big,” which was a follow up for cuts like “Worst Thing,” “Hit Different,” “Female Goat” and “Pop Out.”

Be sure to press play on Layekah’s brand new music video for “313-414” down below.
