The track is the first preview from ‘Blue Water Road.’

Kehlani officially back on the scene and fans couldn’t be more excited. After a series of dope collaborations from this past year, she’s finally ready to step into the spotlight to unveil her solo project. The successful singer took to social media to announce the title to her forthcoming project Blue Water Road, which is officially set to make landfall this winter. She didn’t leave her supporters too curious though, as she unleashes the first taste from the project today (Sept. 15) with her brand new single “Altar.” From the snippet alone, fans can hear her well-loved pen in action once again:

I put you on the altar, stay just a little bit longer/ Laid it out for ya, thought I felt you before, now you’re closer, closer

Kehlani is officially back on the scene in full force. Just last week, she linked up with the legendary T-Pain to share their collaboration track “I Like Dat.” She also made an appearance on AJ Tracey’s sophomore LP The Flu Game, and was the co-star for Pink Sweat$ lead single from his PINK PLANET project. Most recently, she linked up with Kiana Lede for their “Ur Best Friend” visual, which was a special one because it was Lede’s “dream collaboration” and Kehlani also co-directed the official visual. Another fulfilling joint offering was “Back Together,” which is Amorphous’ debut single.

Kehlani was playing through everyone’s speakers last year in May when she shared her project It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, which saw features from Jhene Aiko, Masego, Lucky Daye, and James Blake. She has also treated fans to a few guest appearances on some strong singles such as “Take You Back” with Russ and “Touch Me (Remix) with Victoria Monet.
