Calboy delivers new visual for “She Know (In Too Deep)”

The Chicago star shows off his acting chops in the Ben Griffin-directed short film.

While not as musically prolific as some of his peers, this year has seen Calboy keeping his fans well-fed with top quality releases, including “Miseducation” with Lil Wayne, “Ten Toes Down,” “Round Here,” and “Jungle Juice.” This past weekend, the Chicago star added to that with “She Know (In Too Deep),” an infectious cut that he produced alongside Jang Life. The track sees Calboy harmonizing about street life, wealth, women, and more:

“I got all, shawty love, pure codeine, but she like me, gotta beat the odds, stack to star, I work hard, don’t get no sleep, hit them hard, prolly went too far, can’t say sorry, I’m in too deep, and I ride with the chop’ when I’m in my car, send him to my God, that’s if he tweak, we known to get this shit bustin’, I was like nine on the block and I’m thuggin’, where you’re from don’t mean nothing…”

Directed by Ben Griffin, the accompanying video for “She Know” can be enjoyed two ways — as a full short film, or in a shortened format that clocks in under three minutes. Either way, the story is the same, with Calboy starring as a wealthy “businessman” with criminal links who finds himself intertwined with an undercover police officer. In the end, said cop decides that she wants to stay with her co-star, and subsequently destroys any evidence that would put Calboy in legal harm’s way.

Last year, Calboy delivered his latest project Long Live The Kings, which initially contained six cuts with assists from Lil Tjay, Lil Baby, and G Herbo. Some months after its original release, the XXL Freshman alum then upgraded said project with a deluxe edition, adding on six extra songs with collaborations alongside King Von, Polo G, Fivio Foreign, and Yo Gotti.
