If you do not know by now, Westside Gunn has been one of the most slept on, most consistent artists for quite some time now. Since the release of his first mixtape Hitler Wears Hermes back in 2012, the Buffalo, NY rapper was poised for greatness. The type of pictures he paints with his braggadocious, yet thorough lyrics on those audible canvases is what separates artists like Westside Gunn and the rest of Griselda from everyone else these days. Bars, delivery and beat selection are three of Gunn’s strongest points and he executes on each of them with every drop. Today (Aug 27), the Flygod drops off his 11th solo mixtape Hitler Wears Hermes 8: Sincerely, Adolf and it is exactly what you think it is — fuego.

While there is a great number of people that know what’s up with Westside Gunn and his music, there is also a substantial amount that is still snoozing for whatever reason. After listening to HWH8, you might want to go the same route that Twitter user Denzel (@WorldsBestLatin) took and apologize for being late to the party. Serving as the follow up to Gunn’s fourth LP Who Made The Sunshine, HWH8 is in its own lane for sure and further solidifies the Griselda rapper as one of the elite in hip hop.

While posting a screenshot of he and Post Malone, Gunn made a pretty solid statement that actually turned out to be very true: “The shit I’m painting I don’t even think y’all ready for.. MFs ain’t even caught up to HWH7 let alone Supreme Blientele,FLYGOD,PRAY FOR PARIS, or Awesome GOD… I’m about to just do what I wanna do fuck the haters & I bet it’ll be the illest shit u ever seen in ya life #FLYGOD”

The Griselda titan also announced he’s dropping a second release later this year on Halloween so you should certainly keep an eye open for that one!
