This coming Saturday was supposed to be Lil Uzi Vert’s 27th birthday until it wasn’t.

On Wednesday (July 28), Uzi claimed that, after his mother found his birth certificate, that he’s actually a year younger than he thought. Seriously.

In the revelatory tweet, Uzi wrote: “Wait wtf I’m turning 26??? My mom found my birth certificate.” In subsequent tweets, Uzi interacted with fans who brought up some hilarious questions to consider in the wake of this news.

“How tf you get a license den,” asked one fan who was understandably shocked by Uzi’s revelation. “Who tf has a license,” Uzi replied. All pretty funny stuff.

This news arrives after what’s been an interesting last week or so for Uzi. Recently, he claimed that he was in the process of trying to buy a planet. At this point, though, it’s pretty unclear what that would even mean. In response to Uzi’s claim, Soulja Boy claimed that it wouldn’t be Uzi that was the first rapper to cop a planet.

“Man I been did that,” Soulja wrote in response to a tweet about Uzi possibly becoming the first human to own a whole planet. “I was the first rapper to own a planet lol Uzi late,” Soulja continued in another tweet.

Uzi didn’t respond to Soulja’s tweet, but he did pop out with a new tongue tattoo and a forehead diamond a few days ago. Based on his new adornments, it’s safe to say Uzi has been in birthday mode for a little while now. If fans are lucky, they’ll see a video of him celebrating by dancing the way he did at a star-studded Independence Day party a few weeks ago.
