Mobile, AL artist Yung Bleu has been one of Hip Hop’s most exciting acts over recent times and in the midst of the commencement of festivals and concerts, Bleu has clearly been on the grind in the lab. While certainly having a breakout year in 2020 with the release of the remix to his single “You’re Mines Still” featuring the OVO front-man Drake, you would be a fool to think the 27-year-old wouldn’t consistently put the work in to keep the momentum going. The amount of top-tier music floating around these days from major and independent/underground artists has been quite fulfilling and Yung Bleu wants to have fun with his fair share of audio smack. Today (July 23), he delivers his debut studio album Moon Boy.

Since securing his Drake feature, Bleu hasn’t shied away from working with some notable names in the industry. His most recent single, “Baddest,” features Chris Brown and 2 Chainz. Last month, he appeared on H.E.R.’s new album, Back of My Mind (“Paradise”). A pair of collaborations with A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Coi Leray have also led to new music (“Track Star” and “Thieves In Atlanta”) for the expanding star. If that wasn’t enough, Bleu recently shared photos of him in the studio with Chloe Bailey and Kehlani.

For the album’s announcement via Instagram, Yung Bleu gave a lengthy, heartfelt thank you to his fans: “I WANT TO GIVE A SPECIAL THANKS TO EVERY FAN THAT MADE THIS POSSIBLE. EVERY PERSON WHO EVER BELIEVED IN ME. I OVERCAME SO MANY OBSTACLES THIS YEAR. SO MANY PERSONAL STRUGGLES. SO MANY LOSSES . IT FEEL GOOD TO DROP MY FIRST ALBUM AND TELL MY STORY . MASTERPIECE! MY DAY 1 FANS I ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE YALL SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT LEADING UP TO THIS.

Laced with 15 records, Moon Boy features a number of artists including John Legend, Moneybagg Yo, Davido and more!
