This weekend marked the third anniversary of XXXTentacion’s passing. In remembrance of, Kodak Black decided to liberate a new song titled “Falling Over,” a KasimGotJuice-produced effort that sees the Floridian star paying homage to his lost peer, while also inquiring about other evils within the world:

“Come alive Onfroy, aren’t you missing something? Why are we always judging? Can we all do more loving? It don’t matter if you’re black or white, my friend, can we not be so racist? And it don’t matter if you’re gay or nay, my friend, can we not be so hateful, it don’t matter if you’re rich or poor, why the police using excessive force?”

In addition to “Falling Over,” Kodak also dropped off a new video for “Gleerious,” one of the standouts from his latest body of work Happy Birthday Kodak. The track sees production from Dyryk, RBP, Max Perry, and Drew Keys, with Kodak expressing his happiness for better times, from his significant other to reaching his “Kobe year”:

“I’m in Geraldine Nissan, I’m scopin’ a lick, you know I’m goin’ for the rebound, if I shoot and I miss, what a time to be free now, it’s all the way lit, what a time to be free now, happy birthday Kodak, happy Z Day…”

Shot by Cotto, the accompanying clip for “Gleerious” begins with a heartfelt message from Kodak, who’s thanking everyone that celebrated his birthday with him, all matching with shots of what looks like an amazing event enjoyed by all. In addition to footage of Kodak living his special day to the fullest, many of his fellow peers — including Yo Gotti, Tory Lanez, and Jacquees — make cameo appearances in the video. What a time to be free.
